Three Big Events Occurred This Week
and it's not even the end of the week!

Please allow me to share my eventful week with you.
The week kicked off with the release of a guided journal I created especially for moms and for Mother’s Day! I’ve been talking about this journal, a project that is close to my heart. Yes, I am a mom with two grown daughters who are the smartest, most beautiful young women in the world. Hey, I’m their mom and I am entitled to say that! I am also a grandmother to the most fantastic, awesome grandchildren in the world.
So I know that moms have a lot of great stories to tell about mothering. I bet one is popping up in your brain right now—write it on your Substack publication for Mother’s Day. How about sharing that favorite bedtime story with your child, the fun and fright of teaching your child to ride a bike, and the sports you attended offering support to the team? No matter the win or loss, your child was a winner for participating. Don’t forget to reflect on the joys and challenges of being a mom.
My daughter is experiencing the Empty Nest syndrome and I was surprised that I experienced it again right along with her. That is a huge adjustment for families.

But, just a minute. The best event of all the three this week is this snowbird is back home in Michigan. Our daughter and hubby picked us up at the airport, and then we met up with our other daughter, her hubby, and our granddaughter at a restaurant. It was pure joy to be together again after six months.

Ah, yes the empty nest. I remember that experience well. Now, those kids return and bring a lot of others with them. It's wonderful, but I still recall all those years being a young mom with such fondness.
